Amanda Snyder, MS, PA-C

Co-Owner and Practice Director

Amanda Snyder serves as the Co-Owner and Practice Director of Unbound Counseling, where she brings over two decades of clinical experience and leadership into the heart of mental health care. A nationally certified Physician Assistant, Amanda spent more than 22 years serving patients through Saint Joseph’s Hospital Rural Health Clinic, West Virginia University, and the Department of Veterans Affairs. Her career has been marked by a steady commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care, particularly among underserved and rural populations.

Though she has transitioned out of direct medical practice, Amanda continues to carry forward the same dedication that defined her clinical work. In her role at Unbound Counseling, she focuses on improving access to care, strengthening operational excellence, and ensuring that individuals and families receive timely, thoughtful, and effective mental health services. Her background in medicine provides a unique lens for understanding the connection between physical and emotional well-being, allowing her to advocate for a more integrated and responsive approach to care.

Amanda is deeply committed to addressing the growing mental health needs within the community, especially in rural West Virginia, where access can often be limited. She believes that quality care should be both accessible and personal, meeting people where they are with dignity and respect.

Outside of her professional role, Amanda values time with her husband and children. She enjoys the simplicity of being outdoors, whether walking their dog, spending time in nature, or winding down with a good movie. These moments reflect the same grounded and relational approach she brings into her work each day.
