At Unbound Counseling, we believe healing happens in relationship. We value transparency, authenticity, and genuine human connection, and we work to create counseling spaces where people feel seen, respected, and supported.

We practice radical welcoming. This means meeting individuals exactly as they are, without judgment, assumption, or pressure to fit a mold. Our work is grounded in trauma-informed care and an understanding that safety, choice, and connection are essential for healing.

We believe advocacy is part of ethical care. As a practice, we use our individual and collective voices to support our clients, strengthen our communities, and expand access to thoughtful, inclusive mental health care across West Virginia.

Unbound Counseling is rooted in the belief that no one should have to navigate healing alone and that meaningful change happens when care is relational, honest, and shared.

Who We Are

We are sisters raised in rural Appalachia, where integrity, hard work, and service to others were simply part of everyday life. We were taught to keep our word, to care for our neighbors, and to show up consistently especially when life is difficult.

Those lessons still guide us.

Though our professional paths developed in different settings, our foundation is shared: a strong work ethic, steady presence, and deep respect for the dignity of every person. Unbound Counseling grew from that shared formation, from the belief that healing takes time, trust, and relationships that feel safe and honest.

We believe trust is built through follow-through. We believe presence matters more than performance. We believe strong boundaries protect dignity, and that truth can be spoken with kindness and without judgment.

To us, love is the disciplined choice to show up again and again, not perfectly, but faithfully.

In hardship, in grief, and in difficult conversations, we remain steady. We do not look away.

We are grateful to serve you, your families, and this community.

What Guides Us

Steadiness.
Consistency.
Presence.
Time.
Accountability.
Love.

We believe trust is built through repetition. Safety grows through regulated leadership. Integrity is sustained through accountability.

Love is not alsways proven in ease. It is proven in hardship, in grief, in struggle, in difficult conversations, and in the moments when staying present feels costly.

Love is the disciplined choice to show up again and again and rooted in the courage.

When things are heavy, we do not turn away.
We stay.
