About Us

We are a women- and veteran-owned therapy practice, both originally from West Virginia and deeply committed to serving the mental health needs of our community.

We understand how difficult it can be to access mental health services — and how stigma can hold people back from reaching out. One of our primary goals is to help reduce these barriers and normalize seeking therapy as an essential part of overall well-being.

Our vision also includes collaborating with other community partners to connect people with the services they need, advocating for mental health, and offering training and resources on a range of topics, including trauma-informed care.

We were intentional in choosing the name Unbound Counseling. It reflects our hope that therapy can help you feel less tied down by overwhelming thoughts, struggles, past traumas, or moments that have seemed to define you. To loosen those binds. To become unbound.

We can’t promise to free you completely — but we are passionate about the work we do and honored to walk alongside you on your path to healing.

Therapy is a partnership between us.
We are a team, working together to help you build a meaningful and fulfilling life. In this space, we set aside pretense, judgment, and expectations — so you can show up as you are, and we can meet you there.

In therapy, you will never be denied humanity or empathy.
We are here to help you challenge everything you’ve been told you’re “supposed to” do, be, act, or look like — and help you uncover what you truly want instead.
