Meet Jay Kotsko, D.Min., M.Div.
Pastoral Counselor | Trauma-Informed Spiritual Care | Guided by Grace

Life has a way of leaving marks—some visible, some hidden deep in the soul. Maybe you're carrying pain that feels too heavy to name. Maybe your marriage is strained, your past haunts you, or your prayers feel hollow. If you're in a season of grief, doubt, or disconnection, I want you to know this: you are not forgotten. God’s heart is tender toward the wounded, and healing is still possible.

My name is Jay Kotsko. I’m a trauma-informed pastoral counselor serving individuals and couples through biblically grounded, clinically informed care. With over two decades of ministry, military, and counseling experience, I’ve come to believe that the deepest transformation happens when faith and compassion meet in honest, sacred spaces.

My approach integrates the timeless truth of Scripture with research-backed therapeutic models, offering spiritual and emotional care that honors both your story and your soul. As a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, I am committed to Christ-centered, ethical, and emotionally safe practices that reflect God’s grace and truth.

Outside of the counseling room, I’m a husband, father, veteran, and outdoorsman. I find rest in the woods, on a quiet trail, or waist-deep in a river with a fly rod in hand. I love taking my wife on dates, laughing around the table with my kids, reading theology and fiction, and being fully present with the people God has entrusted to my life. These rhythms remind me that healing is not just something we talk about—it’s something we live out, day by day.

If you're looking for someone to walk beside you, to listen without judgment and speak truth with love, I would be honored to meet you there. I offer individual and pre-marital counseling. At this time, I do not accept insurance. I operate on a self-pay basis and offer a sliding scale to ensure services remain accessible. If cost is a concern, please don’t hesitate to reach out—my goal is to make meaningful support available to those who need it.

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”
—Psalm 34:18 (ESV)
